Overview

This document will cover Volume Pricing in Savance Enterprise, which is a way to provide price breaks for an item based on the quantity purchased. For example, maybe you are selling an item for $10.00. However, you may want to sell the item for $9.00 once 20-50 are purchased, and maybe you want to sell the item for $8.00 when more than 50 are purchased. All of this can be configured through the item manager and the pricing profile.

Item Manager

To access the Item Manager go to Inventory > Inventory Manager > Item Manager and search for an item.

Once you’ve located your item go to the Pricing & Cost section.

Highlight the pricing profile name field and right-click, select ‘Add Volume’

The pricing profile will expand by adding an additional row to add more rows repeat by right-clicking on the profile name.

In the volume text box, you will enter your quantity breaks, i.e 1-10, 11-25, 26-50 and 51+ see example below.

Now using the additional pricing profile rows you can adjust your column, cost, and multipliers, as well as only apply volume price breaks for specific customer price classes.

Once you’ve finished entering your volume price breaks, select ‘Save’ to update this item record.

Viewing Volume Pricing

Besides using the item manager to view the volume price breaks you may also view these price breaks within an order/quote.

Open a new quote and enter a customer's account. Enter a part number that has a price break. Using the right-navigation menu basket go to the ‘Pricing Source’ tab. There you will find the price break information.

Having this information you may encourage the customer to purchase more to take advantage of the price break. As you change the quantity on the line the Net price will adjust accordingly. Additionally, you may also temporarily change the customer price class if you wish to give them a better or worse deal or no price break at all. To temporarily change a price class for a customer at the order level, go to the Summary tab within the order and choose a new price class from the drop-down.
